SON-Life Camp and Retreat Center is a Christian summer camp located in Wayland, MI. Our mission is to provide a setting where people can enter or enhance a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Joining our summer staff gives you the opportunity to grow job skills, have fun, and work in a supportive Christian environment. This is a job like no other where we have an impact on those around us and make amazing memories and build a community at the same time!

Summer Camp: June 16-August 1, 2025

Compensation
Pay
Directors and Health Officer: $325 per week
Cabin Leader: $300 per week
Assistant Cabin Leader: $115 per week
Assistant Cook: $250 per week
Videographer/Photographer: $160 per week
Returning Staff members pay increases depending on years of service

HOW DO I APPLY?
You'll find an online application for first-time applicants and a different one for returning staff. The application process also involves your consent to a background check. We start taking applications in November 1.
Once you have applied we will reach out to you within one week.
We have a convenient form that you can email to your references for them to complete and return. Easy! Just send them to this link.
Please know that three completed reference forms are needed to be hired.
POSITIONS
Staff Positions
Cabin Leader (age 18 or older, preferably with 1 year of college experience)
Assistant Cabin Leader (age 17)
Waterfront Director (age 18 or older, age 20+ preferred)
Lifeguard (age 18+, coupled with another role, such as Senior Counselor)
Health Officer (age 18 or older)
Program Director (age 20 or older)
Assistant Cook (age 17 or older)
Photographer/ Videographer (age 16 or older)
The basic expectations of all staff:
Demonstrate a sincere, authentic, growing faith walk
Maintain a Christ-like attitude
Possess a sincere desire to work with children
Be team players, seeking unity and understanding in working with groups
Seek ways to grow as an employee, in faith, and in character
